Wedgemount area Garibaldi Park, BC
This
spectacular glacial lake is circled by Wedgemount and Armchair Glaciers.
Wedge Mountain, 2,891 metres, the highest peak in the park, lies to
the south.

There is one major
trail in this area of Garibaldi Park:
Parking
lot to Wedgemount Lake - Length, 7 km; suggested time,
4 to 6 hours one way; elevation change, 1,200 metres. The upper part
of the trail provides a view of a waterfall where Wedgemount Creek tumbles
down for almost 300 metres in a white spray. The last part of the trail
meanders over a boulder strewn slope. Camping is permitted at the northwest
end of the lake. There is a hut there with no amenities and a pit toilet.
This is a popular destination for mountaineers.
